Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion
• Prepare Letters of Appointment for consulting team procurement
• Track and control construction schedules and associated costs
• Oversee project support activities including quality assurance and environmental mitigation
• Monitor budget and schedule performance using control procedures
• Manage client relationships and report on progress
• Oversee performance of trade contractors and review architectural/engineering drawings
• Supervise assistant project managers and coordinate subcontractor work
• Coordinate completion of project documentation including progress and quality reports
• Administer construction contracts and obtain necessary permits and licenses

Requirements

• BSc, BTech, or Diploma in the Built Environment
• C.CPM or C.CM registration with the SACPCMP
• 8-10 years of experience in the Built environment
• Minimum 4 years of experience in construction management or project management
• Knowledge of construction science, design processes, and financial/cost processes
• Understanding of construction contracts and law of contracts

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership with a registered accreditation body
• Experience in multi-tenant, mixed-use precincts phased over approximately 2 years
