Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects within an operational coal mining environment
• Translate business and operational requirements into defined project scopes
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, and delivery
• Administer contracts and monitor project costs against budget
• Manage contractor engagement, day-to-day oversight, and performance monitoring
• Identify and manage delivery risks with a focus on safety and operations
• Coordinate with engineering and technical teams for deliverable approval
• Provide structured updates on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership and ensure compliance with site standards

Requirements

• 5–10 years of project management experience
• Experience in coal mining or heavy industrial environments (brownfield/active sites)
• Thorough understanding of the total project life cycle
• Experience working within the Australian market or on Australian projects
• Professional qualification in construction, project management, engineering, surveying, architecture, or IT
• Strong commercial acumen and governance oversight skills
