Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee, and coordinate all facets of pre-construction, bid, award, construction, and close-out phases
• Review pre-construction documents and submit comments to Designers
• Prepare progress reports for upper management
• Coordinate with public agencies and District staff to ensure compliance
• Manage project budgets and schedules to meet qualitative standards
• Manage daily contractor activities, including schedule and submittal reviews
• Negotiate Contractor Change Order Proposals to achieve fair pricing
• Monitor payments for contractors, architects, and engineers
• Administer Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District
• Manage project close-out including Division of State Architects (DSA) certification

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Project/Construction Management for Commercial or Public/Educational facilities
• Experience coordinating complex projects with values of $2M or more
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Experience with LEED certified projects or CHPS
• Experience with the Division of State Architects (DSA) process
