Project Manager - Telecoms

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of telecoms systems
• Manage interfaces with other disciplines including MEP, Civils, Signalling, IT, Safety, and Security Systems
• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budgets
• Coordinate with HS2 Ltd, stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal JV partners
• Oversee assurance processes and compliance with Network Rail and HS2 standards
• Lead telecoms risk management activities
• Ensure integration with Digital Railway and Smart Station principles
• Produce and review technical documentation such as design submissions and method statements
• Support site works in accordance with CDM and safety regulations
• Report progress and mitigations to senior leadership

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecoms Project Manager on major infrastructure or rail projects
• In-depth technical knowledge of telecoms systems in the rail or transport sector
• Familiarity with UK rail standards, Network Rail specifications, and HS2 requirements
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex interfaces
• Knowledge of safety and quality management systems like CDM and ISO 9001

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward professional accreditation
• Prior experience on joint venture or alliance delivery models
• Understanding of BIM, systems engineering, and digital delivery approaches
