About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the full construction project of large-volume kerosene storage facilities
- Manage project execution within an international client structure, ensuring compliance with contractual terms
- Coordinate the work of the project team (engineers, foremen) and various subcontractors (civil, mechanical, technological, fire protection, and control systems)
- Maintain active communication with the client, local military operators, and relevant authorities
- Control technical execution, deadlines, and costs, including project financial monitoring
- Develop and continuously update construction schedules
- Manage and validate contracts, claims, and additional works
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, occupational health and safety, and environmental regulations
- Coordinate permitting and authority processes (construction, fire protection, environmental)
- Prepare and approve technical documentation, reports, and completion certificates
Requirements
- Higher education degree in civil or mechanical engineering
- 5–8 years of relevant construction experience, with at least 3 years in a project management role
- Experience in large-scale industrial projects (e.g., energy facilities, tank farms, oil and gas, or specialized infrastructure)
- Professional engineering qualification (MV-É or MV-G)
- Thorough knowledge of Hungarian permitting and authority processes
- Experience working within international project structures
- Fluency in English (negotiation level)
- Category B driver's license
- Strong leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills
- Experience in cost controlling and project management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fuel storage, hazardous industrial facilities, or military/infrastructure projects
- Experience working with American clients or on military-related projects
