Project Manager SR Business

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of brownfield rehabilitation projects, including turbine overhauls, generator rewinds, and control system upgrades
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6, managing critical paths and resource allocation
• Manage project P&L, including budget forecasting, cost control, and change order negotiations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for utility owners, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams
• Enforce rigorous HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and quality assurance protocols at project sites
• Identify technical and commercial risks early in the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
• Project management experience within the power generation sector, preferably in hydropower service or rehabilitation
• Understanding of hydropower components such as Francis/Kaplan/Pelton turbines, governors, and excitation systems
• Proficiency in managing complex site installation or equipment-only contracts
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
• Experience working directly for a hydropower Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
• Fluency in specialized project management software and ERP systems like SAP or Contruent
• Willingness to travel to remote project sites for approximately 15–25% of the time
