Project Manager – Road Network Management

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct major road maintenance projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Prepare project scopes of work, briefs, consultancy fee estimates, and detailed project delivery plans.
• Manage project financial systems, including invoicing, reporting, and achieving planned profit targets.
• Proactively engage with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and project risks.
• Provide strategic advice and grow WSP's position with the New Zealand Transport Agency regarding Asset Management services.
• Mentor and train staff, providing technical support and ensuring all work meets professional and technical standards.
• Coordinate activities across different business sections to ensure technical quality and overall client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Roading Network Management.
• Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary projects through the full project life cycle.
• Extensive experience in writing complex, credible technical reports and documents.
• Recognized Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, APM, or Prince 2).
• Current, clean NZ Driver Licence.
