About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and oversight of commercial interior renovation projects from initial scoping through construction administration
  • Participate in scoping and feasibility studies, including documenting existing conditions
  • Create conceptual space plans, blocking layouts, and interior architectural details such as millwork, lighting, and elevations
  • Manage external consultants through all phases of schematic design, design development, and construction documents
  • Coordinate with landlords, building managers, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) to secure necessary permits and authorizations
  • Partner with internal teams including Operations, Design, Facilities, and Finance to ensure project alignment
  • Resolve construction and design-related issues in the field through technical expertise and sketches
  • Review project shop drawings and material samples to ensure compliance with brand standards
  • Perform domestic travel approximately 25% of the time

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Construction
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in commercial interior development
  • At least 3 years of experience working within an Architecture or Construction firm
  • Proven experience designing for retail, hotel, or multi-use facilities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to travel domestically (25%)
