About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the Calcine Disposition Project (CDP) by planning scope, organizing resources, and executing work as a Work Package Manager.
- Develop and maintain project-specific documentation, including schedules, cost estimates, and compliance strategies.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including materials, labor, and associated costs.
- Coordinate work with contractors, engineers, and business support teams to ensure alignment on objectives.
- Identify and manage technical and project risks.
- Monitor project performance to ensure adherence to schedule and budget.
- Communicate project progress to DOE management and stakeholders through reports and presentations.
- Provide project-specific safety and compliance leadership in accordance with DOE directives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five (5) years of directly applicable experience.
- Proven experience in project management and/or engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to apply management and engineering principles within DOE or similar regulated environments.
- US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
- Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at a Department of Energy (DOE) facility.
- Familiarity with DOE orders and standards (e.g., DOE O 413.3B, DOE-STD-1189-2016).
- Experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders, including the U.S. EPA, Idaho DEQ, and Tribal Nations.
