Project Manager - Mechanical/Electrical (Data Center)

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate mechanical and electrical projects from initiation through completion
• Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and contract negotiations
• Conduct technical reviews of mechanical and electrical designs and specifications
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to minimize operational disruptions
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide financial reporting
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and change orders
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and data center protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience
• At least 3 years managing mechanical and/or electrical projects in data center or similar infrastructure environments
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, and power distribution systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms
• Experience with budget management, cost control, and financial tracking
• Understanding of data center infrastructure standards such as ANSI/TIA and ISO 14644
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center-related certifications (CDCP, CCNA, or equivalent)
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies
• Background in mechanical or electrical engineering
