About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale capital asset programs of $600MM+ for global facilities delivery, focusing on logistics and industrial manufacturing infrastructure.
- Manage project lifecycles from conceptual design (front-end planning) through operational qualification in both Brownfield and Greenfield sites.
- Coordinate utility tie-ins, capacity allocations, and handoff sequencing with Manufacturing, Lab, and Administrative teams.
- Facilitate issue resolution, anticipate scope changes, and ensure project implementation meets safety, cost, schedule, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans for all project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Maintain effective communication with GFD leadership, governance teams, and business partners while working from a regional distance.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical related field (e.g., project management, construction management).
- 10+ years of experience in capital project delivery within industrial or manufacturing facilities.
- Proven experience managing greenfield projects.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
- Willingness to relocate to Richmond, VA for the duration of the project and travel internationally (15% to 30%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (Bulk API, sterile products, secondary packaging, or devices).
- Direct experience delivering Warehouse/Logistics Centers, including Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and GMP cold storage.
- Knowledge of GMP manufacturing, LEAN, and automation/material handling equipment (MHE) integration.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Ability to influence personnel and organizations without direct administrative responsibility.
