About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage all phases of assigned IT projects, including scope definition, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, work breakdown structures, and milestone-driven roadmaps.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and issues to ensure transparency and timely escalation.
  • Identify and remove project impediments and drive alignment on key technical decisions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and project management skills with a focus on scope, schedule, and delivery outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and experience with hybrid or traditional project management approaches.
  • Experience creating and managing work breakdown structures, project plans, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Solid knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and large-scale technology delivery.
  • Proficiency with project and productivity tools such as Jira, MS Project, and Excel.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across both technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Master certification.
  • Project Management certification such as PMP, Project+, or Prince2.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting technology initiatives in higher education or similarly complex environments.
