Project Manager III - IT Liaison

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Airport IT project teams, Airport Operations, and key stakeholders
• Facilitate alignment and communication across internal teams, airline partners, LAWA stakeholders, and contractors
• Provide timely and accurate updates on project status, milestones, risks, and dependencies
• Support coordination of IT project activities across multiple terminals to ensure consistency and awareness
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify potential operational impacts and support mitigation efforts
• Coordinate and engage with contractors to support project execution, scheduling, and compliance
• Participate in project meetings, site walks, and operational briefings to maintain situational awareness
• Assist in tracking project progress, action items, and deliverables
• Support the integration of airport equipment and systems with IT infrastructure
• Identify risks, gaps, and coordination challenges, and escalate as appropriate

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of experience, preferably on airport projects
• Proven experience in Airport Operations, preferably within a large hub environment like LAX
• Experience in airline operations, terminal management, or project management
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or a related technical field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct involvement in airport IT or infrastructure projects
• Experience interacting with LAWA, City departments, contractors, and airlines
• Relevant professional licensure or certifications such as PMP, PE, AAAE, LEED, or AICP
• Familiarity with airport systems such as FIDS, AODB, BHS, and terminal operational equipment

• Salary Range: $191,000 - $196,000
