About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle for JOC construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, and closeout
  • Oversee multiple small- to mid-scale renovation and new construction jobs concurrently within an active higher-education campus environment
  • Coordinate with campus stakeholders, end users, facilities staff, architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including scopes of work, cost estimates, change orders, schedules, and progress reports
  • Monitor contractor performance under JOC agreements, ensuring adherence to contract terms, quality standards, and safety protocols
  • Conduct regular site visits to track progress, resolve field issues, and verify compliance
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure timely invoicing and financial reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience in construction
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and contract administration
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in Educational Facility Construction
  • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Knowledge of the project life cycle including master planning, design, construction, and closeout
  • Experience in alternative delivery methods
  • Experience with LEED certified projects or CHPS
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) processes
  • Valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer
  • Valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential
