About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for JOC construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, and closeout
- Oversee multiple small- to mid-scale renovation and new construction jobs concurrently within an active higher-education campus environment
- Coordinate with campus stakeholders, end users, facilities staff, architects, engineers, and contractors
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including scopes of work, cost estimates, change orders, schedules, and progress reports
- Monitor contractor performance under JOC agreements, ensuring adherence to contract terms, quality standards, and safety protocols
- Conduct regular site visits to track progress, resolve field issues, and verify compliance
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure timely invoicing and financial reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in construction
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and contract administration
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in Educational Facility Construction
- Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Knowledge of the project life cycle including master planning, design, construction, and closeout
- Experience in alternative delivery methods
- Experience with LEED certified projects or CHPS
- Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) processes
- Valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer
- Valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential
