Project Manager I – Electrical and Controls Engineering

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of project planning and execution to ensure success in scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
• Provide engineering and technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems.
• Ensure business goals are met through effective planning, organizing, estimating, and monitoring of work activities.
• Prepare accurate technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
• Conduct engineering studies and develop positive working relationships to coordinate activities.
• Serve as a unifying agent providing leadership, decision-making, and control of projects in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Associates degree and 2 years of related work experience, OR
• High school diploma/GED and 5 years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam.
• Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, including transformers, motors, relays, and VFDs.
• Experience with design, specification, and installation of instrument and control systems.
• Experience in the utility or process industry.
• Strong understanding of basic engineering theories and project management principles.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for facilitating meetings and presenting information.
