About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, procurement, and installation of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) for all Capital Projects
- Coordinate communication between end-users, consultants, and construction teams to meet hospital objectives
- Organize and coordinate specifications and tenders, including the evaluation of complex contracts
- Work with procurement agencies to develop processes and contracts for equipment advisors and suppliers
- Monitor and report on project equipment spending to ensure budget and cash flow limits are maintained
- Maintain standardization of equipment and furniture across all hospital sites
- Manage a portfolio of complex corporate-wide projects and track all decisions and activities
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Health/Life sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, Certificate, or relevant experience
- Minimum of three years of related hospital experience
- Recent experience (within 5 years) in project management or clinical equipment and furniture coordination for redevelopment projects
- Recent experience (within 5 years) in selection, specification, or procurement of hospital equipment/furniture
- Proficiency in reading architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and equipment cut sheets
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience writing reports, specifications, and RFPs
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean/process improvement Certificate
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with CMMS
- Experience managing projects with equipment budgets exceeding $50 million
