Project Manager - Ground Systems

Responsibilities

• Technically manage a multidisciplinary, cross-functional project team covering multiple departments
• Manage an international constellation of internal and external stakeholders, including contract setup and negotiation
• Report on project status to management regarding timelines, budgets, and top-level risks
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate technical, financial, and operational risks
• Collaborate with internal rocket system customers to realize projects according to scope and timeline
• Contribute to the establishment of new sites by working closely with service departments
• Set up and improve workflows, processes, and structures to expedite project execution

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in mechanical, civil, aerospace, or chemical engineering (or equivalent)
• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, project management, process plants, propulsion test benches, or infrastructure/construction projects
• Experience managing complex, international infrastructure or process plant projects
• Experience working within a regulatory environment to ensure compliance, safety, and certification
• Proficiency with project management toolkits to initiate, realize, and close out facility projects
• Fluent English communication skills
• Willingness to travel internationally

Preferred Qualifications

• German language skills
• Technical expertise in the aerospace sector, specifically regarding rocket launch systems and ground infrastructure
• Project management certification (e.g., PMI-PMP, AXELOS-PRINCE2, APM-PMQ, or IPMA Level D/C)
