About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct contractor safety performance evaluations and technical tasks related to construction capital project management
- Perform regular field audits to monitor safety findings and ensure compliance with Site Safety Plans
- Communicate safety findings and recommendations to project staff and contractors
- Prepare safety progress reports and maintain status reports for capital and MMR projects
- Monitor and report key performance indicators to support continuous improvement
- Coordinate with other divisions and agencies to support construction safety programs
Requirements
- Permanent status in the Construction Project Manager title or filed for Open-Competitive Exam #3042
- High school diploma and five years of experience managing/inspecting construction projects (min $300,000 cost per year)
- OR a baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management plus one year of relevant experience
- OR a valid license as a professional engineer, registered architect, or registered landscape architect plus one year of relevant experience
- Valid New York State motor vehicle driver license
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
