Project Manager - Decentralized Energy Supply

About the Company

VREY builds the EnergyOS for multi-family residential buildings. We combine certified metering operations with our own software to enable owners to sell self-generated solar power directly to tenants, turning regulatory requirements into profitable opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the operational implementation of PV and metering concept projects
• Ensure correct implementation of energy industry requirements (e.g., §42b EnWG, MSB processes)
• Coordinate grid operators, installers, and internal teams during project execution
• Create and review metering concepts for multi-party buildings
• Ensure correct metering, balancing, and billing processes
• Translate regulatory requirements into reliable operational standards
• Analyze operational workflows and identify risks and optimization potential
• Implement structured improvement measures based on KPIs
• Reduce manual error sources through standardization and automation

Requirements

• Several years of experience in operations or project management, preferably in energy or real estate
• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Energy Economics, or a comparable qualification
• Strong interest in energy, startups, or real estate
• Sound knowledge of energy industry processes (metering concepts, balancing, billing, EnWG, MSB)
• Structured, process-oriented way of working
• Proficiency in data analysis and system usage
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate
• Fluent in German and English
