Project Manager - Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Meet with internal clients to establish the scope of work
• Evaluate project costs and establish budgets
• Perform design, calculations, measurements, sketches, plans, and specifications
• Manage construction permit requests and other required permits
• Collaborate with purchasing for tender management and supplier evaluation
• Assist the environmental department with authorization certificate requests
• Plan and participate in administrative, technical, and site coordination meetings
• Ensure work compliance with established quality standards
• Monitor progress regarding specifications, deadlines, and budgets
• Liaise between suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Manage site administration including reports and change orders
• Write project follow-up and progress reports
• Analyze, validate, and approve additional work
• Perform post-mortems to analyze completed projects

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering or construction engineering
• 5 years of experience
• Membership in the Ordre des Ingénieurs
• Ability to travel (mostly same-day return, some 1-2 night stays)
• Bilingual in English and French
• Strong organizational and stress management skills
• Analytical and synthesis skills
