Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate construction projects
• Assist with a portfolio of capital design or construction projects across five boroughs
• Act as the key contact during scoping, design, and construction procurement phases
• Ensure projects meet agency objectives and follow completion schedules
• Apprise Senior Project Managers of scheduling, construction, and design issues
• Maintain project budgets and costs
• Liaise between contractors and the agency
• Maintain comprehensive project history files and coordinate schedules
• Prepare change orders, project correspondence, and reports

Requirements

• Permanent status in Associate Project Manager title or reachable on DDC Promotional Exam #3573 or Open Competitive Exam #3110
• One year of experience supervising employees in project management for engineering, architectural, or landscape architectural projects
• Or experience supervising a construction project valued at $1,000,000 or more
• Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or related field plus one year of project management experience
• Or high school diploma plus five years of relevant experience
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S. without sponsorship
