About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate construction projects
- Assist with a portfolio of capital design or construction projects across five boroughs
- Act as the key contact during scoping, design, and construction procurement phases
- Ensure projects meet agency objectives and follow completion schedules
- Apprise Senior Project Managers of scheduling, construction, and design issues
- Maintain project budgets and costs
- Liaise between contractors and the agency
- Maintain comprehensive project history files and coordinate schedules
- Prepare change orders, project correspondence, and reports
Requirements
- Permanent status in Associate Project Manager title or reachable on DDC Promotional Exam #3573 or Open Competitive Exam #3110
- One year of experience supervising employees in project management for engineering, architectural, or landscape architectural projects
- Or experience supervising a construction project valued at $1,000,000 or more
- Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or related field plus one year of project management experience
- Or high school diploma plus five years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S. without sponsorship
