Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate construction projects across the five boroughs
• Assist with a portfolio of capital design or construction projects
• Act as the key contact during scoping, design, and construction procurement phases
• Ensure projects meet agency objectives and follow completion schedules
• Apprise Senior Project Managers of scheduling, construction, and design issues
• Maintain project budgets and prepare change orders, correspondence, and reports
• Liaise between contractors and the Department of Design and Construction
• Maintain comprehensive project history files and coordinate project schedules

Requirements

• Permanent status in the Associate Project Manager title or eligibility via specific Civil Service exams
• Experience supervising employees performing project management work on engineering, architectural, or landscape architectural projects
• Experience supervising construction projects valued at $1,000,000 or more
• Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or a related field plus relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Authorization to work full-time in the United States without sponsorship
