About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage individual development projects including review and approval of plans, site investigation reports, and remedial action work plans
- Implement applicable laws, regulations, and policies to meet strategic environmental and engineering goals
- Oversee, inspect, and participate in field sampling, remediation, and engineering activities
- Conduct communications with development teams, the general public, elected officials, and other city agencies
- Maintain databases and archives for program oversight
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in geology, engineering, earth sciences, environmental sciences, or a closely related field
- 24 semester credits in relevant areas such as rock and soil mechanics, hydrology, or site investigations
- Experience in geologic field work or three months of professional geologic field experience
- Valid New York State Motor Vehicle Driver License
