About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate construction projects
- Assist with a portfolio of capital design or construction projects across the five boroughs
- Act as the key contact during scoping, design, and construction procurement phases
- Ensure projects meet DDC’s Commitment Plan objectives and follow completion schedules
- Apprise Senior Project Managers of scheduling, construction, and design issues
- Maintain project budgets and costs
- Liaise between contractors, DDC, and sponsor agencies
- Maintain comprehensive project history files and coordinate project schedules
- Prepare change orders, project correspondence, and reports
Requirements
- Permanent status in the Project Manager title or reachable on the Open Competitive List (Exam #4076)
- Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning, or related field plus one year of project management experience; OR
- High school diploma plus five years of relevant experience; OR
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to five years
- Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without sponsorship
