About the role
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support project requirements
- Manage core project team and assigned engineering and third-party resources to accomplish objectives on time and within budget
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Act as single point of contact for customers regarding technical, commercial, and schedule matters
- Develop and negotiate for supplemental work and changes of project scope
- Monitor projects for potential problems and lead resolution efforts
- Prepare and issue progress reports and presentations to customers and management
- Manage contractual claims through speedy conclusions
- Implement and maintain project quality
- Collaborate with Project Procurement Managers on procurement processes and purchase approvals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, business management, or equivalent
- 5 to 10 years of project management experience in engineering or construction industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Power industry experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
