Project Manager – Automation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all project phases including design, development, testing, and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones and action items are addressed.
• Lead project status, design, and technical meetings, including commissioning protocol executions.
• Coordinate with plant planning and capital project resources to manage manufacturing windows for code deployment.
• Manage cross-functional resources for activities such as instrument checkout, automation checkout, and functional testing.
• Ensure all implementations meet strict industry standards, SOPs, and documentation requirements.
• Escalate technical issues, resource constraints, or implementation risks to the Operations Technology Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in Project Engineering.
• Proven experience in regulated Bio/Pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs, C&Q, and validation requirements.
• Proficiency in automation and process control systems.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Experience with project management tools, specifically Microsoft Project.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification.
• Lean or Six Sigma training.
• Extensive experience specifically in pharmaceutical automation projects.
