About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide acquisition, engineering, and technical advisory support for space programs across all phases of the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Offer expert advice on space acquisition, engineering, operations, and integration activities, including future concept development.
  • Draft and revise critical documentation such as JCIDS, Acquisition Strategies, CONOPS, MOAs/MOUs, and technical evaluations.
  • Prepare SME-level technical and programmatic status reports for individual programs or portfolios.
  • Support program financial management, including PPBE, commitments, obligations, expenditures, and earned value management.
  • Perform contractor oversight by reviewing deliverables, Integrated Master Schedules, and Contract Funds Status Reports.
  • Assist with source selection activities in compliance with FAR 9.505-4, including proposal evaluations and functional meeting coordination.
  • Identify acquisition process improvements and support the development of government risk management programs.

Requirements

  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility; must be willing to undergo a Polygraph.
  • Master’s Degree in a related technical field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Engineering Management).
  • 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 6 years specifically supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Deep knowledge of DoD/IC acquisition lifecycle processes, phases, and critical decision milestones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification.
  • Previous experience working with Special Access Programs (SAP).
  • Experience working within the Government (military or civil servant) or a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC).
