About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical direction for moderate to highly complex design and value engineering projects.
  • Manage project lifecycles to ensure completion within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
  • Drive design execution to meet market-driven guides, cost targets, reliability, and high-volume manufacturing requirements.
  • Analyze and select design alternatives to implement successful mass production.
  • Account for technical elements including component integration, material selection, packaging, and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate project meetings, track schedules, and present regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective risk reduction plans.
  • Collaborate extensively with manufacturing plants and outside suppliers to achieve project goals using DFMA principles.
  • Design new experiments and test systems to validate design extremes and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience managing moderate to high complexity projects or subsystems.
  • High level of Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, specifically Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to draft comprehensive test plans and technical specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate studies in Project Management, Finance, Marketing, or Organizational studies.
  • Formal project management training.
  • Working design knowledge of technologies associated with power tools.
