Project Lead

OXMAN is a nature-based research and design company based in Manhattan. We incubate ventures and technologies that reimagine the relationship between humanity and the natural world, working across disciplines from architecture and ecology to computation and materials science.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of EDEN projects, managing scopes, timelines, and risks.
• Serve as the primary project contact for dedicated clients, managing expectations and building trust.
• Lead project scoping, including proposals, deliverables, staffing assumptions, and fee logic.
• Convert client needs into clear internal project goals, workstreams, and execution plans.
• Coordinate with technical, scientific, design, and product leads to ensure project feasibility.
• Protect internal staff time and project quality by managing scope creep and issue escalation.
• Maintain project management systems, including meeting cadences and action trackers.
• Support the identification of future project opportunities within existing partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, ecology, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading complex projects or interdisciplinary delivery teams.
• Proven experience in project scoping, documentation, and managing project risks.
• Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams (designers, scientists, product).
• Technical fluency in computational design workflows and analytical methods.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex ecological and technical concepts to partners.
• Excellent organizational judgment and ability to structure ambiguous opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AEC industries, real estate development, or climate technology.
• Experience working with developers, municipalities, or institutional partners.
• Familiarity with GIS, ecological modeling, or geospatial analysis.
• Experience managing long-term client partnerships or account-based portfolios.
• Interest in regenerative design and environmental performance.
