Project HSE Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, systems, and procedures in alignment with company and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
• Provide HSE training and awareness programs to all staff and subcontractors.
• Lead site inspections and support project teams in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and government authorities on all HSE matters.
• Promote a strong safety-first culture, ensuring that HSE objectives are integrated into all project operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of HSE experience within the Civil Engineering and Construction industry.
• At least 5+ years of experience in a managerial capacity overseeing project-level HSE operations.
• NEBOSH Level 6 (or equivalent).
• CSP (Certified Safety Professional).
• NVQ Level 6.
• Lead Auditor Certifications for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Strong technical expertise in risk assessment methods (HAZOP, JSA) and incident investigation techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional recognized HSE certifications.
• Proven background in large-scale project management within industrial or construction environments.
