Project HSE Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans
• Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and HSE training sessions to ensure safety awareness among site personnel
• Monitor daily site operations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards and legislative requirements
• Participate in incident reporting, investigation, and implementation of corrective measures
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation, inspection records, and audit reports
• Support coordination between project teams, subcontractors, and management on all HSE matters
• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across all levels of the project

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role (Coordinator or Officer level)
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory
• Strong understanding of HSE management systems and ISO standards
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction, oil & gas, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• IOSH Managing Safely certification
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Certification
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
