Project Finance Principal, Financial Planning & Analysis

Responsibilities

• Analyze actual spend against approved budgets and forecasts, identifying variance drivers across labor, materials, and soft costs
• Evaluate cost-to-complete projections and assess financial impact of scope changes and schedule shifts
• Build and maintain AI-assisted dashboards to surface variance trends proactively
• Partner with Construction and estimating teams to review change orders and assess financial impact
• Track and refine cost curves over project lifecycles to improve forecast accuracy
• Collaborate with Treasury and Fundraising teams to provide project-level capital deployment reporting and cash forecasts
• Support lender, investor, and capital partner reporting requirements
• Develop standardized forecasting templates and reporting frameworks for development CAPEX

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in project finance, capital planning, corporate finance, or business intelligence
• Experience supporting capital-intensive projects such as construction, infrastructure, energy, or industrial
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, including dynamic forecasting and cash flow modeling
• Demonstrated interest in or experience with AI tools and analytics platforms
• Strong ability to reconcile complex datasets and ensure integrity between budgets and actuals
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both finance and engineering teams
