Project Facilitator - Youth Development

Responsibilities

• Mentor Club Leaders and support culturally relevant, engaging activities for youth
• Coordinate weekly planning and adapt curriculum to the local context
• Support the delivery of weekly IMPACT Club meetings, including resources, logistics, and coaching
• Engage Elders and community leaders in program decisions and cultural adaptation
• Collect data, maintain accurate records, and contribute to stories of impact and reports
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders

Requirements

• Knowledge of issues affecting First Nations young people in remote Australia
• Understanding of the West Kimberley cultural context
• Experience mentoring, coaching, teaching, or facilitating youth activities
• Experience in community development or participatory approaches
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to maintain accurate data
• Ability to travel regularly to remote communities
