Project Expeditor

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier progress to ensure purchased materials and engineered equipment meet project schedules and need-by dates
• Conduct proactive surveillance of supplier progress and take appropriate action in the event of delays
• Contact suppliers frequently to obtain timely submission of engineering data and coordinate responses with in-house engineering
• Act as the project representative at supplier shops to produce accurate records of physical progress
• Monitor the performance of supplier sub-suppliers and advise on necessary mitigation actions
• Communicate and coordinate closely with project management, buyers, inspectors, and logistics teams
• Maintain up-to-date expected dates within the expediting system and participate in kick-off and progress meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Construction Management
• 5+ years of experience working for an EPC company
• Experience in the Oil, Gas, and Chemical markets within contracts administration or management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience
• InEight Software experience (or similar)
• General understanding of procurement execution, estimating, and site purchasing
