Project Engineering Manager - Traction

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams through the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design and requirements management to testing, validation, and commissioning.
• Technically drive the railway traction scope, overseeing mechanical design, software implementation, electrical design, and power electronics.
• Manage high voltage application projects, ensuring all engineering deliverables meet the highest quality standards and project timelines.
• Coordinate with global stakeholders and local teams across design, production, and supply chain to ensure successful project execution.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics.
• 10 years of experience in traction or propulsion systems, specifically within the railway industry.
• Deep knowledge of power electronics and high voltage applications, with specific expertise in IGBT-based solutions.
• Proven experience leading and inspiring cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Experience with the Indian railway market is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills to manage complex engineering projects.
