Project Engineering Manager - Telecom

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced telecom systems for railway networks.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities regarding project planning and civil works interfaces.
• Supervise and inspect site telecommunications activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and work methods.
• Perform field inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies and quality standards.
• Support the commissioning team during the testing phase and manage seamless handovers with documentation.
• Plan, execute, and monitor design, configuration, and maintenance for telecom systems including TCP/IP, IP-MPLS, CCTV, and TETRA Radio.
• Resolve technical on-site issues and maintain As-Built documentation.
• Deploy and size networks, including fiber optic transmission and physical deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and media converters.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, MPLS, LAN-WAN protocols, and routing principles.
• Experience managing medium-to-large projects and technical project teams.
• Proven experience with telecom subsystems and wireless communications.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and third parties.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA or CCNP certification.
• Experience within the railway industry or with railway signalling systems.
• Familiarity with complex wired and wireless network architecture design.
