Project Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of project engineers and contract resources supporting the site capital program.
• Execute and oversee the site capital plan (approximately $10–20MM annually), ensuring alignment with business and operational priorities.
• Deliver capital projects through all phases, including FEL, design, construction, and commissioning, safely and on schedule.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, schedules, and justifications.
• Manage contractors, engineering firms, and construction resources, including contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and site policies.
• Partner with operations and maintenance to support reliability, capacity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and control departmental budgets and project expenditures.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience managing capital projects or large-scale capital programs.
• Demonstrated leadership experience of engineering or project teams.
• Experience with project execution processes from FEL through startup.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project and Excel.
• Knowledge of process operations, plant systems, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, environmental).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in managing external contractors and complex construction activities.
