Project Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for design and construction engineering activities across all disciplines
• Direct technical oversight of construction contractors and own the construction change management system
• Plan, sequence, assemble, and issue construction Work Packages to support field activities
• Coordinate with engineering teams on constructability, 3D model coordination, and design issues
• Interface with System Responsible Officers to maintain quality, schedule, and budget for engineered systems
• Monitor construction progress, report weekly updates, and provide field direction to ensure compliance with engineering documentation
• Develop turnover packages and facilitate system walkdowns to support commissioning
• Coordinate with Procurement to manage field-procured materials, substitutions, and equipment delivery

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or another engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial plant design and construction environments
• Deep knowledge of processes required to engineer, design, and construct complex industrial projects
• Proficiency with construction change management and the use of 3D models
• Strong understanding of heavy industrial codes and standards
• Multidisciplinary knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation & controls (I&C)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an industrial facility with various hazards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of project or field engineers for large-scale industrial construction projects
• Professional certification in engineering management or construction management
