Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end project lifecycle including feasibility, design, procurement, and commissioning
• Translate project requirements into technical specifications and engineering solutions
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documents for accuracy
• Conduct site surveys, assessments, and technical investigations
• Ensure compliance with water industry standards and health & safety legislation
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery
• Support commissioning activities, FAT/SAT processes, and performance testing
• Manage project documentation including O&M manuals and as-built drawings

Requirements

• Previous experience in the water sector (clean water, wastewater, or treatment works)
• Strong understanding of water-industry standards and regulations
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Competent in MS Office and familiarity with MS Project
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering
• Experience with major water utilities or Tier 1 contractors
• Knowledge of AMP cycles and TOTEX thinking
• Safety certifications such as CSCS, EUSR, or SMSTS/SSSTS
• Experience with digital tools like BIM, SCADA, or CAD
