Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage project scoping, planning, and execution for multiple product categories including Low Voltage Switchgear, Breakers, and Transformers
• Develop test methods and define test equipment requirements for complex, new, or unusual products
• Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures, and convey project cost estimates and timelines
• Coordinate complex in-house or external laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions for technicians
• Provide technical assistance across various product categories and systems to laboratory and field staff

Requirements

• BE/BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an accredited institution
• 8-10 years of experience in engineering, design validation, testing, certification, or manufacturing
• Proficiency in safety standards including IEC, EN, UL, CSA, and NEMA
• Strong knowledge of UL/IEC 60947 series and UL 508 standards
• Hands-on experience with electrical and electronics testing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong structured problem-solving and independent decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to ISO/IEC 17025 standards
• Knowledge of UL/CSA/IEC CB Scheme certification and global certification processes
