Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution and timely completion of engineering projects by analyzing scope and determining specifications.
• Establish test programs for product investigations and prepare detailed reports for clients.
• Independently determine project plans, including cost, time, and sample requirements.
• Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures, and resolve concerns.
• Coordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and scheduling work for technicians and support staff.
• Participate in the development of UL requirements, test methods, and specialized test equipment.
• Conduct or witness tests at client sites, which may require frequent travel.

Requirements

• University Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7-10 years of engineering or industrial laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with heat and smoke detectors, strobes, and Fire Alarm Control Panels.
• Working knowledge of conformity standards within the relevant area of expertise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and project-handling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) industry.
• Experience in compliance engineering.
