Project Engineer (System Monitoring)

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support SCADA assets across the SPD network
• Deliver change-process activities and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide technical input into SCADA specifications, specifically for RTU replacement and development
• Support regulatory and business-driven objectives under RIIO
• Respond to SCADA faults and defects to optimize operational performance with the OCC
• Configure, test, and commission SCADA systems, including on-site activities

Requirements

• HNC/D in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in electricity network construction and operations
• Experience working with SCADA systems on electrical power networks
• Good understanding of industry-standard SCADA protocols and protocol-emulation tools
• Transmission or Distribution network operational experience
• Ability to analyze complex engineering issues and deliver technical solutions
• Valid UK driving licence (required for frequent site travel)
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
