Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design sanitary, storm, and watermain infrastructure projects, including pump stations and stormwater management plans.
• Manage technical tasks such as performing calculations, writing specifications, and preparing technical reports.
• Coordinate design and report deliverable packages for submission to clients and regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, multi-disciplinary teams, and sub-consultants to ensure design intent and compatibility.
• Prepare engineering contract documents, including construction plans, schedules, and specifications.
• Assist with contract administration, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and preparing site observation reports.
• Participate in basic cost estimating under the direction of technical leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of five years of related work experience in municipal engineering or water infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of design and construction codes and industry standards.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Bentley Microstation.
• Experience with various construction means, methods, and trenchless/tunneling projects.
