Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor production projects to ensure completion on time, within scope, and within budget
• Provide technical engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to design specifications
• Coordinate engineering resources, materials, and equipment, including tracking issues from stores to site
• Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Prepare and maintain essential project documentation, including engineering reports, drawings, and specifications
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution to maintain workflow
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients regarding project updates
• Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, specifically within ship repair or shipbuilding
• Proficiency in engineering design software and project management tools
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration
• Willingness to work in marine environments, including shipyards and onboard vessels
