Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering assignments involving the development, review, and coordination of waterworks design and construction projects
• Manage technical aspects of water facilities including chemical feed systems, pumping stations, wells, pipelines, and reservoirs
• Maintain quality assurance to ensure design and installation comply with plans, specifications, and industry standards
• Review quality management and control plans to ensure consultants and contractors adhere to project requirements
• Collaborate with design and construction management to eliminate environmental, safety, or health hazards
• Establish and maintain working relationships with client representatives, contractors, and design engineering staff
• Monitor project schedules, material procurement, and deliveries to ensure milestones are met
• Prepare and maintain engineering studies, correspondence, submittals, inspection reports, and project records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related construction field
• 10+ years of experience in office design and/or field construction working with large teams
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in the State of Nevada or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar capital improvement projects
• Proficiency with Bluebeam
• Strong ability to analyze complex engineering problems and prepare concise technical reports and drawings
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Water industry experience, specifically with pumping stations, reservoirs, and large diameter piping
• Experience with Trimble (formerly eBuilder)
• Familiarity with P6
