Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with discipline leads and technical staff to oversee the development of technical deliverables.
• Assist the Project Manager in developing and tracking project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor progress of technical tasks and flag risks or issues to the Project Manager.
• Prepare and support internal and external project meetings, including drafting agendas and documenting action items.
• Review technical work products for completeness, consistency, and quality.
• Support coordination with subconsultants, including tracking deliverables, schedules, and invoicing.
• Assist with monthly project reporting regarding financial performance and key metrics.
• Mentor and serve as a point of coordination for junior technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of related technical experience in the transportation industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
• Strong background in technical design and knowledge of state-specific design standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience interfacing with clients or subcontractors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects.
• Experience working within the state of Georgia.
