Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead design and drawing activities to support all stages of crane manufacturing
• Perform engineering estimations for cranes in support of pre-sales activities
• Develop products according to customer specifications and applicable code requirements
• Generate design calculations and ensure product safety per API-2C standards
• Prepare sketches for draftsmen and approve final drawings for fabrication
• Maintain documented records of design calculations and part numbers
• Analyze products using software to ensure safe working loads and maintain reports
• Coordinate with the Engineering Manager, draftsmen, and other departments to ensure project execution
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Requirements

• BE/B Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 7-8 years of experience, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 9-10 years of experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically within the cranes or lifting equipment industry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
• Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D modelling
• Working knowledge of API-2C and API-2D standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ERP software
