Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain submittal logs and tracking systems
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and design teams to collect and submit shop data, shop drawings, and equipment information
• Review schedules to ensure submittals and approvals align with procurement and construction milestones
• Support the project manager in creation of new schedules, schedule maintenance, and updates
• Work with project manager, superintendent, and field teams to sequence construction activities and identify critical path items
• Develop detailed CPN or milestone schedules often in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Projects
• Ensure project schedule includes all long lead and critical path items
• Assist with Project Submittals by gathering and initiating shop drawing submittals and verifying specification sections

Requirements

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Understanding of construction processes, work activity sequences, and dependencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for complex schedule analyses
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or one or more years of related experience
