Project Engineer - Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of design packages and provide constructability insights
• Review and coordinate shop drawings and as-built drawings across multiple trades
• Supervise and inspect mechanical work and monitor project progress
• Perform QA/QC inspections and issue periodic quality metric reports
• Respond to contractor requests for inspections, technical queries, and site clarifications
• Verify quantities and work progress for accuracy in completed work calculations
• Coordinate and resolve mechanical design issues during construction
• Support technical decision-making and address installation challenges
• Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems
• Lead commissioning, startup, and adjustments of mechanical systems and components

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical systems commissioning, specifically residential HVAC and plumbing
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Experience in site supervision, QA/QC inspections, and material installation
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and commissioning processes
• Ability to review mechanical designs and verify them against site execution
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as required
