Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead initial design phases including mapping, drainage assessment, and buildable area determination
• Conduct detailed site analysis using topographic data and as-built surveys
• Design horizontal layouts for roadways and parking areas using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Execute storm drainage designs and erosion control plans using Hydraflow
• Design water distribution and sanitary sewer systems, including pump stations and force mains
• Produce accurate grading plans and assess earthwork volumes
• Perform roadway alignment design including pavement marking and traffic control plans
• Prepare and submit regulatory documentation to local and state agencies
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Engineer in Training (EI) certification required
• 5+ years of experience in civil site design
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong understanding of land development, zoning, and stormwater regulations
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or on track to obtaining PE
• Experience leading meetings and preparing comprehensive engineering reports
• Experience mentoring junior staff
• Strong client relationship management skills
